Step 1: accessing your site header

Firstly, navigate to your Squarespace site's header settings. This is where you'll begin the process of adding your brand's logo. To do this:

  • Enter the editing mode by clicking on "Edit Site Header."

  • Look for the section labeled "Site Title and Logo" and double-click to access it.

Step 2: uploading your logo

  • With the "Site Title and Logo" options open, it's time to upload your logo:

    • Click on the "Logo Image" option to expand it.

    • Select "Add Logo" and then choose "Upload File" to select your logo file from your computer.

Allow a moment for the logo to upload. Once the upload completes, you'll see your logo displayed in the preview area.

Step 3: Adjusting Logo Dimensions

  • After your logo has successfully been uploaded, you might want to adjust its size to ensure it fits well within your site's header:

    • Double-click on the logo within the editor to bring up the resizing options.

    • Adjust the height slider to increase or decrease your logo's size, making sure it aligns well with your site's overall look and feel.

Mobile Logo Adjustment

Considering the increasing use of mobile devices to access websites, Squarespace allows you to adjust or upload a separate logo specifically for mobile viewers:

  • Within the same editing section, look for the option to adjust the mobile logo's height or upload a different logo for mobile use.

Although Squarespace offers the flexibility to have a different logo for mobile users, many choose to use the same logo for consistency across devices.

Once you are satisfied with how your logo looks on both desktop and mobile views:

  • Click "Save" to apply the changes.

And there you have it—a straightforward guide to adding a logo to your Squarespace website. By following these simple steps, you can significantly increase your brand's visibility and make your site look more professional. Remember, your logo is often the first thing visitors notice, so ensuring it's prominently and properly displayed is key to making a lasting impression.

Incorporate these steps into your website setup or refresh strategy to enhance your online presence and brand recognition.
